3 Day Women’s Retreat:  Feb. 18-20

Retreat Master: Father Anthony Stephens, CPM

This Classic Retreat begins on Friday evening, 2/18/22, and goes into Sunday mid-morning, 2/20. It is led by a priest retreat master along the Retreat Theme, “Drawing Closer to the Heart of Jesus.” He will also be available for confession. Meanwhile the Carmelite Sisters will lead prayers such as Night Prayer, meditative reflection periods, and the Rosary. All periods between activities will maintain a silent environment intended to support your interior intimacy with Jesus while mealtime conferences help supplement conference material.

St. Blaise – Blessing of the Throats

Thursday, Feb. 3^rd after the 8:00 am Mass 

St. Blaise is the patron saint of people with diseases of the throat. On St. Blaise’s feast day, many parishes, including               St. Mary’s by the Sea, bless the throats of their parishioners in a special ceremony.

St. Blaise reminds us of the importance of taking care of our health and also to thank God for doctors and medicines that can help us to recover from illnesses. We honor St. Blaise for his faith and care for his people.

Give Yourself to God 1^st Friday 12-Hour Adoration

Though Valentine’s Day is commonly associated with human love, the patron saint of this day,  St. Valentine, would encourage you to cultivate a love for God. Form this relationship by visiting Him this    First Friday, February 4^th, during 12-Hour Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from  9am to 9pm.
