Where:   The walk will begin at La Placita/Olvera St. ending at LA Historic Park (1 mile)

Tour of Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel Exhibition

Sat., Feb. 8^th at 9:30 am

St. Mary’s by the Sea will once again be chartering a bus February 8^th to Christ Cathedral in Garden Grove to tour Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel Exhibition. This time, it  will be on a Saturday for those who were not able to attend our last trip. Afterwards, we will also provide a box lunch (excluding those with dietary restrictions) for all who attend.

The cost is $10 per person and MUST be paid to the Office by Wednesday, Feb. 5^th. Payment will NOT be accepted on the day of the tour or in person. Please call the Office in advance at (714) 536-6913, x-112, with your name and number of people who will be attending. If you would like to drive instead, we still need your payment in advance. In addition, an optional audio guide can be purchased there at a cost of $3 each. You can listen to this as a stand-alone player or you may bring your own headphones to plug into it.

On the day of the event, please meet here at the Church at 9:15 am. The bus will leave promptly at 9:30 am.

Eucharistic Adoration & Exposition

St. Mary’s by the Sea opens the Church for Eucharistic Adoration every Monday through Friday from 1:00 to 4:30 pm. On Thursdays the Divine Mercy Chaplet will be recited at 3:00pm and we will have Eucharistic Exposition (where the Blessed Sacrament is displayed outside the tabernacle in the monstrance for adoration by the faithful) from 3:00 to 7:30 pm, closing with Benediction (praying the rosary and receiving a blessing with the Host) at 7:30 pm.

“Walk for Life” – October 19^th

To support Horizon Pregnancy Clinic, join their Walk for Life on Saturday, Oct. 19^th, from 9am to 12pm. To register, go online at www.SupportHPC.org or call (714) 897-7500 and meet at Horizon – 15061 Springdale St. #109, Huntington Beach, CA. The entry fee is $20 and includes a free tee shirt, lunch and exercise or tour!

Knights of Columbus Annual Campaign

The Knights of Columbus of St. Mary’s by the Sea are conducting their annual campaign to benefit children and adults with special needs. All of the money collected stays in the Diocese of Orange and supports Catholic Charities summer camp and other activities for those with special needs.

They will be collecting donations outside the Church after Mass on October 26^th and 27^th. Please help them send more children to camp by making a contribution. Checks may be made out to Catholic Charities of Orange County. You may also make a credit card donation. Thank you.

2019 PSA Update – “We Are One”

Thank you to the 90 families who have pledged to support the mission of the Church in our Diocese through the 2019 PSA. As of today, we have received pledges of $70,331 with $67,210 of this already paid. Since we have met our diocesan goal, all gifts we now receive will be returned to us and are being used to install two new ADA compliant restrooms.
