Message from Father Chu
Dear Parishioners,
I would like to update you on the health status of Fr. Pascal Nguyen, O. Praem (who is the celebrant for our 11:30am & 1:30pm Latin Masses). He came down with a fever last week and was tested for Covid19. The results of this test were positive.
Late yesterday, Fr. Pascal was admitted to the ICU at Mission Hospital because of low oxygen. Here is what he wrote:
“The doctor has just been in to talk to me. I’m already on Remdesivir and Azythomycin. He’s already ordered plasma with antibodies for me from Mayo Clinic. He’s ready to intubate me when I need it. Right now, he’s ordered all kinds of vitamins for me as well.”
Please continue to pray for Fr. Pascal.
Since Fr. Pascal tested positive for Covid19, I, as your Pastor, went for testing as well. I am still waiting on the results and will keep you updated. During this week, my doctor suggested I should quarantine myself. Therefore, we are temporarily not having weekday Masses until I receive the results of the test. So far, thanks be to God, I do not have a fever, nor have I shown any type of symptoms. Please keep me in your prayers, too.
God bless you all and be safe!
Fr. Quang Chu – Pastor
