Reflection – Hope and Faith
Dear Parishioners,
We have been self-isolated for two weeks already! Many of us take this time to create something to do at home, or to pray, or to take care of ourselves or to help others.
It seems kind of scary when we heard the news that coronavirus positive cases and deaths increase every day. We wonder why God doesn’t always do what we want – how and when we want it done. Don’t lose your hope! Even now in the midst of these difficulties, we can declare his greatness because he is God and deserving of all our honor and praise.
How do we do it! You can base your praise on what the Scriptures say about God. He is the Good Shepherd who knows you and is zealously concerned for your life (Jn. 10:11). He is Emmanuel, God with us (Is. 7:14). He will never leave you or forsake you (Joshua 1:5). He will give you rest (Mt. 11:28-29). Using these passages, you can praise God, even as you are waiting for him to act. (The Words Among Us, p.57).
God always hears your prayer and always answers you, even though sometimes you still have to endure the “heat” of difficulties. So, whatever happens, always declare God’s goodness, and it will come to you – in his time and according to his wisdom!
Don’t lose your hope! Have faith and trust in Him always! Let us continue to trust in His words and strive to remain faithful to Him. Let us praise and exalt Him above all forever. Amen.
Remember you are all in my prayers! Stay calm! Stay well! Be cool and in good health!
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Reverend Quang Vinh Chu, Pastor
